Description

ZMT4-HM Design

The Zaxcom ZMT4-HM is a lightweight plug-on style transmitter with a built-in antenna. It’s perfect for handheld microphones, ENG applications, and plant microphones. This new model has NeverClip™ and better battery life.

Please note, this transmitter is NOT intended to be used with a boom pole.

Weighing only 3.1oz (88g), the ZMT4-HM is constructed in a high-strength impact-resistant nylon polymer casing with rounded edges and machined metal that’s cool to the touch.

Encrypted Audio

The ZMT4-HM transmits using 100% digital modulation resulting in audio that’s fully encrypted. Digital encryption is the only way to keep all audio transmission private. The digital transmission also transmits crystal clear audio of incredible quality.

Microphone Connectivity

A 3-pin XLR connector makes it ideal for most microphones.

Internal Recording

Audio can be recorded internally to a microSD card using the highly reliable lossless MARF (Mobile Audio Recording Format) which eliminates file corruption common to recordings due to dead battery or early card removal.

NeverClip

NeverClip™ is a new feature in the ZMT4-HM. It works by utilizing two A-D converters to extend the dynamic range of the transmitter to 136 dB, so there’s never any limiter distortion.

ADVANCED FEATURES

Equipped with ZaxNet™, you can remotely change the frequency, pre-amp gain, and output power or place the internal recorder in record, playback, and stop modes.

POWER

The ZMT4-HM has selectable Phantom power of 12, 24, 32, and 48V. It runs for up to 7 hours on an NP-50 battery depending on what microphone is being used.

Modulation Choices for your Environment

The range will always vary depending on your environment, but you’ve got choices to optimize transmission for peak performance. Zaxcom High Density modulation (ZHD) increases the number of available channels from 4 to 9 for every 1 MHz of spectrum space, perfect for reflective environments like busy city streets. XR gives you the maximum distance in less dense / more controlled spaces.

MHZ BANDS

ZMT4-HM is available in the following frequency bands:

  • .5 band (512-608 MHz)
  • .6 band (596-698 MHz) (not available in the U.S.)
